This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, how we protect it, and the choices you have. It applies when you visit thekey8.com, use our borrowing check or Mortgage Checkup, contact us, or use our advisory services: homebuyer advice, refinancing, equity release and specialist cases.
We handle personal information in line with UAE law, including Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data, where it applies.
Our services are for people aged 21 and over.

3. How we use your information
- To work out your estimated borrowing range, monthly payment, upfront costs and Mortgage Checkup result.
- To give you mortgage advice and compare bank offers for your situation.
- To prepare and submit mortgage, refinance or equity release applications, only when you ask us to.
- To contact you about your enquiry, appointment or application.
- To check your identity and documents when you apply.
- To run, secure and improve our website and tools.
- To meet our legal and regulatory duties and to prevent fraud.
- To send you news and offers, only if you've agreed. You can stop these at any time.
4. Our borrowing check and estimates
You can use our borrowing check and Mortgage Checkup without giving us a phone number or email. We use your answers to calculate your result. We keep your answers securely and use them to improve our tools. Without your contact details, we don't use them to contact you.
If you ask an advisor to contact you, we keep your answers with your contact details, so you don't have to answer the same questions again.
Our tools calculate your result automatically, using your answers and UAE lending rules. The result is an estimate. It isn't a mortgage approval, a credit decision or a bank offer. Each bank makes its own decision after assessing your application.
If you'd like a person to review your result, an advisor can go through it with you for free.
5. Who we share it with
We never sell your information. We share it only in these cases:
- Banks and lenders. Only when you ask us to get offers, arrange a pre-approval or apply for you. We send each bank only what it needs for that application.
- Credit bureau and verification providers. Including Al Etihad Credit Bureau (AECB), only with your permission and as the law allows.
- Service providers who work for us. Website hosting, cloud storage, our client management system, email and WhatsApp messaging, website analytics, payment processing, and identity and document checks. They may use your information only to provide their service to us, and they must protect it.
- Authorities. When the law, a court or a regulator requires it.
6. How we protect it
We use technical and organisational measures to protect your information from unauthorised access, loss or misuse. These include:
- Access only for staff and providers who need it for their work.
- Encryption and secure storage and transfer.
- Access controls and regular security checks.
No system is completely secure, but we work to keep the risk as low as we can.
7. Information stored outside the UAE
Some of our service providers, such as cloud storage, may store or process information outside the UAE. When that happens, we use providers with appropriate safeguards, and we transfer information in line with UAE data protection requirements.
8. How long we keep it
We keep your information only as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy, or as long as the law requires. After that, we securely delete it or make it anonymous.
9. Your rights
Under UAE law, and subject to its exceptions, you can ask us to:
- Show you the information we hold about you.
- Correct anything that's wrong or incomplete.
- Delete your information.
- Limit or stop some of the ways we use it.
- Withdraw your consent, where we rely on it.
- Stop sending you marketing.
If we delete your information or you withdraw consent, we may not be able to continue advising you or progress your application.
If you're not happy with how we've handled your request, tell us and we'll review it. You can also complain to the UAE Data Office, where it applies.

Our website uses cookies and similar technology to work properly and to understand how visitors use it. They record things like the pages you visit, how you move around the site, your device and browser, and how you found us.
We use analytics tools, such as Google Analytics, to improve the website. We don't use advertising cookies or advertising tools. If that changes, we'll update this policy first.
You can manage or turn off cookies in your browser and in our cookie settings. Turning some off may stop parts of the website working.
11. Messages from us
We'll always message you about things you've asked for: your enquiry, appointments and application updates.
We'll send news and offers only if you've agreed. You can stop them at any time, using the unsubscribe link in our emails or by telling us on WhatsApp or by email. You'll still receive messages about your application.
